I've pointed you all to The Monkey Cage on a few occasions, and do so again now: there have been some terrific posts that are engaged in some systematic, thoughful post-election analysis. The methodological tools being used are a bit above your pay grade, to be sure, but the approach can nonetheless serve as a model of what rigorous, evidence-based analysis can look like.
